President Zardari’s Visit: Pakistan and China Sign MoUs in Three Key Sectors

Urumqi: During the visit of President Asif Ali Zardari, Pakistan and China signed three significant Memorandums of Understanding (MoUs) in Urumqi, focusing on modernization of the livestock industry, establishment of a state-of-the-art textile industrial park in Pakistan, and provision of fire trucks and emergency equipment.

According to *Express News*, President Zardari said the agreements will enhance food security, drive industrial growth, boost exports, and strengthen disaster management capacity in Pakistan. He noted that improvements in the livestock sector will create new employment opportunities in rural areas, while the establishment of the textile park will help increase exports and further energize the industrial sector.

The president also highlighted that China’s provision of modern fire trucks and emergency equipment will play a vital role in ensuring public safety and making rescue operations more effective.

The signing ceremony was attended by Senator Saleem Mandviwalla, Pakistan’s Ambassador to China, and the Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan.
