World Athletics Championship: Arshad Nadeem Falls Out of Medal Contention in Javelin Final

TOKYO: Pakistan’s Olympic gold medalist Arshad Nadeem was eliminated from medal contention in the javelin throw final at the World Athletics Championship in Tokyo.
Nadeem opened with a throw of 82.73 meters, placing him in seventh position after the first round. His second attempt was ruled a foul, while his third throw measured 82.75 meters. Despite consistent performance, he failed to secure a place in the top eight, a requirement to remain in medal contention after the first three rounds.
India’s Neeraj Chopra also missed out on a medal, recording a best throw of 84.03 meters. Trinidad and Tobago’s Keshorn Walcott claimed the gold medal with a remarkable throw of 88.16 meters.
