Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif Arrives in Riyadh on Official Visit at Crown Prince’s Invitation
Riyadh:Prime Minister of Pakistan, Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif, arrived in Riyadh on an official visit at the invitation of Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman.
Upon his arrival at King Khalid International Airport, the Prime Minister and his delegation were warmly received by Riyadh’s Deputy Governor Prince Mohammed bin Abdul Rahman bin Abdulaziz, Saudi Ambassador to Pakistan Nawaf bin Saeed Al-Maliki, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Ahmad Farooq, along with senior Saudi officials.
In honour of the Prime Minister’s arrival, the Saudi capital was adorned with Pakistan’s green crescent-and-star flags. A 21-gun salute was presented, and a contingent of the Saudi armed forces offered a ceremonial guard of honour.
Later, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif will proceed to the Royal Court at Al-Yamamah Palace for a formal meeting with the Crown Prince. The official reception will be followed by in-depth discussions covering all aspects of Pakistan–Saudi Arabia relations. The two leaders are also expected to exchange views on regional and global developments of mutual interest.
During the visit, significant progress is anticipated in formalising cooperation across multiple sectors, reflecting the shared commitment of both countries to further strengthening their historic fraternal ties.
