Egg Attack on Aleema Khan Was Scripted, Claims PTI Founder’s Sister

LAHORE: Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has claimed that the recent incident in which eggs were thrown at her was “scripted” and deliberately orchestrated.
Speaking to the media outside the Judicial Complex, she alleged that the two women who hurled eggs at her were later protected by the police. “Police initially said they had taken them into custody but later released them,” she said.
Aleema Khan added that for the past two years, she has been regularly visiting prisons without any harassment, but now “a few people are being deliberately sent to create chaos.”
She further alleged that police had already informed her about four people tasked with misbehaving with her. “First they threw eggs, then tried to misbehave, yesterday they threw stones, tomorrow they may even attack with knives,” she warned.
Aleema maintained that her role is to deliver her brother’s message to the people and vowed to continue despite such attacks. She also criticized police for refusing to register an FIR over the incident, claiming it was part of a broader effort to silence the PTI founder’s voice.
She added that PTI lawyers will challenge the notification to transfer the GHQ attack case trial to the Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC).
