Karachi Groom Missing on Wedding Day, FIR Registered

KARACHI: A groom who went missing on his wedding day in Korangi’s Madina Colony has not yet returned home, police confirmed on Saturday. The case was registered two days later at Zaman Town Police Station.

According to SHO Zaman Town, Nafees-ur-Rehman, the FIR was lodged by the groom’s father, Waseem. He stated that his son, Jehanzaib, was scheduled to lead his wedding procession on September 11. On the day of the wedding, Jehanzaib left home around 6 p.m. on a motorcycle to visit a salon in Korangi No. 4.

At about 7:30 p.m., a man named Tanveer from the salon called the family, informing them that Jehanzaib had not arrived. During the search, his mobile phone was found at home, raising further concerns.

The father suspects that unknown individuals may have abducted his son. Police said the family informed them that Jehanzaib worked at a private factory.

An investigation has been launched, and police are probing the case from multiple angles while efforts to trace the missing groom are underway.
