Army Chief Visits Flood Relief Camps in Kasur, Jalalpur Pirwala, and Multan; Assures Full Support for Victims

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir visited flood relief camps established in Kasur sector, Jalalpur Pirwala, and Multan, assuring full support for the rehabilitation and resettlement of flood-affected families.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Army Chief reviewed the flood situation and ongoing relief operations during his visit. Punjab Chief Secretary and other senior civil administration officials accompanied him and briefed him on rescue and relief efforts in the affected areas.
Field Marshal Asim Munir emphasized that the state cannot afford the recurring loss of precious lives and property each year. He highlighted the importance of close coordination between civil and military institutions to resolve the problems of flood victims. Speaking with civil authorities, he stressed the need for good governance and people-centric development.
He underscored that urgent measures and accelerated infrastructure development are required to protect communities from the devastation of recurring floods. Reaffirming the Pakistan Army’s unwavering commitment, he assured continued support for all welfare initiatives aimed at public relief.
The Army Chief also interacted with displaced flood victims relocated to safer areas, pledging full cooperation in their rehabilitation and resettlement. He met with army personnel, Rescue 1122 staff, and police officers engaged in relief operations, commending their dedication, preparedness, and resolve to serve the nation under challenging conditions.
