Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma Asked to Leave Café After Long Chat, Reveals Jemimah Rodrigues

Mumbai: Indian women’s cricket team player Jemimah Rodrigues recently shared a light-hearted and memorable incident involving star cricketer Virat Kohli, Bollywood actress Anushka Sharma, fellow cricketer Smriti Mandhana, and herself.
In a recent interview, Jemimah revealed that the four were once asked to leave a café in New Zealand after spending hours engrossed in conversation.
She explained that the meeting was a casual and unplanned gathering at a café inside the hotel where both the Indian men’s and women’s cricket teams were staying. Jemimah and Smriti had approached Virat Kohli to seek batting advice, and Anushka Sharma also joined them.
“For the first 30 minutes, we talked about cricket,” said Jemimah. “Virat bhai told us that we both have the power to change women’s cricket.”
However, the discussion gradually shifted away from cricket to various aspects of life and lasted for almost four hours. So absorbed were they in their conversation that they lost track of time—until café staff politely asked them to leave due to the extended stay.
“We were so lost in our conversation that we didn’t even realize how much time had passed,” Jemimah recalled with a smile.
