Karachi Heist: CCTV Footage Shows Over Rs 23 Million Looted from Cash Van

Karachi: CCTV footage has surfaced of a major robbery in which armed assailants looted **Rs 23,284,580** from a cash van near Kalma Chowk in Naya Nazimabad, Manghopir. The suspects also snatched a rifle from the security guard before fleeing.

According to details, the cash van had stopped outside a private bank when the robbery occurred. In the footage, one staff member is seen carrying a money bag into the bank. As the van begins to move, a masked gunman suddenly blocks its path and forces it to stop at gunpoint.

Within moments, four more masked accomplices arrive and surround the van. One of them disarms the security guard seated in the front. The gang then seizes the cash amounting to over Rs 23 million along with the guard’s rifle before escaping effortlessly.

The CCTV footage shows three suspects fleeing on motorcycles while two initially escape on foot before mounting another bike.

A case has been registered at Manghopir Police Station on the complaint of security supervisor Ghazi Khan. Police have launched a search operation using the CCTV footage to track down the culprits.
