NFC Meeting Postponed Due to Flood Situation Across Pakistan

ISLAMABAD:The meeting of the National Finance Commission (NFC), scheduled to be held today, has been postponed due to the ongoing flood situation in different parts of the country.

According to the Ministry of Finance, the decision to postpone the session was taken in light of the current flood crisis. The Sindh government had formally requested the deferment of the meeting owing to the emergency situation.

The 11th NFC session was to be held at the Ministry of Finance today to finalize the formula for distribution of divisible financial resources between the federation and provinces.

Sources in the finance ministry revealed that so far 10 NFC commissions have been constituted, out of which only 4 have yielded conclusive results.
