47 Scientists and Engineers from National Command Authority Honored with Civil Awards in Rawalpindi

Rawalpindi: In a prestigious ceremony held at Chaklala Garrison, 47 scientists and engineers affiliated with the National Command Authority (NCA) were awarded civil honors in recognition of their outstanding contributions to national defense and strategic development.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the awards were conferred by President of Pakistan and presented by Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee and Deputy Chairman of the Development Control Committee, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza (Nishan-e-Imtiaz Military).
The ceremony saw the presentation of the Sitara-e-Imtiaz to 10 officers, the Presidential Award for Pride of Performance to 21, and the Tamgha-e-Imtiaz to 16 individuals.
The ISPR stated that these awards acknowledge the critical services rendered by NCA-affiliated scientists and engineers in advancing Pakistan’s defense technologies and strategic capabilities.
In his address, General Sahir Shamshad Mirza praised the recipients for their exceptional contributions, describing them as the backbone of Pakistan’s strategic program and national security. He emphasized the importance of achieving self-reliance in science and technology and urged the awardees to continue their work with the same dedication and spirit.
The ceremony was attended by senior military and civilian officials, scientists, engineers, and the families of the award recipients.
