Sialkot Breaks 49-Year Rainfall Record with 363mm Downpour

SIALKOT:The city of Sialkot witnessed record-breaking rainfall over the past 24 hours, with more than 363 millimeters of rain recorded, surpassing a 49-year-old record, according to the Pakistan Meteorological Department.

Previously, the heaviest rainfall in the city was recorded on August 6, 1976, when Sialkot received 339 millimeters.

Thursday’s torrential rain left several areas of the city inundated, including Rang Pura, Shahab Pura, Dara Arainyan, Allama Iqbal Chowk, and Prem Nagar.
