Punjab to Launch Modern Electric Buses Across All Districts by December, Fare Set at Rs20

Lahore: Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif’s transport initiative has moved forward as another 100 state-of-the-art electric buses have departed from Shanghai Seaport for Pakistan.
According to the Chief Minister, the new buses will arrive within weeks and by December this year, modern electric buses will be operational in every district of Punjab.
She announced that the fare will be only Rs20, making the service affordable for the common citizen. The buses will feature air-conditioning, climate control systems, and CCTV monitoring to ensure passenger comfort and safety, particularly for women.
In a message to the public, Maryam Nawaz said: *“Insha’Allah, very soon the people of Punjab will have access to comfortable and modern bus services in every district.”*
