No Verbal Clash With Salman Akram Raja, He Is Like Family: Aleema Khan

Rawalpindi: Aleema Khan, sister of PTI founder Imran Khan, has denied reports of any verbal clash with party lawyer Salman Akram Raja, saying he is like a family member to them.

Speaking to the media outside Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan said: *“There has been no harsh exchange between me and Salman Akram Raja. He is our lawyer and like family. If there is any issue, it must be his personal matter, perhaps linked to the by-elections. It’s better to ask him directly.”*

She also criticized the recent arrests of her children, stating: *“I don’t understand why my children were taken. Shahrez Khan runs a business and has represented Pakistan in sports, while Shershah was also picked up the next day. These arrests don’t affect us. I have even said they should arrest me too. They are scared of children.”* She added that any message delivered through the family reflects the founder’s stance.

On the same occasion, Uzma Khan, another sister of Imran Khan, addressed the issue of by-elections, saying: *“If there is any dispute regarding the by-elections, the party will clarify. When we met the founder, he clearly told us not to contest the by-elections, as entering elections would harm the party, not benefit it.”*

Uzma Khan further quoted Imran Khan as saying that participating in polls would provide legitimacy to “unjust disqualifications” and allow the authorities to impose their chosen candidates: *“He directed the party to stay focused on the movement rather than elections.”*
