Govt Approves 233% Increase in Martyrs’ Compensation Package for Civil Armed Forces

Islamabad: The government has decided to increase the martyrs’ compensation package for Civil Armed Forces by up to 233%, raising the minimum compensation amount to Rs10 million.

According to media reports, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has authorized the summary for the enhanced package to be presented to the federal cabinet for approval. At present, the minimum compensation under the package stands at Rs3 million, while the maximum is Rs10 million. After the increase, the minimum payout will rise to Rs10 million, and the maximum to Rs20 million.

The Civil Armed Forces include Punjab Rangers, Sindh Rangers, Frontier Corps (North and South) Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Frontier Corps (North and South) Balochistan, Pakistan Coast Guards, Gilgit-Baltistan Scouts, and the Federal Constabulary.

Officials said the move aims to recognize the sacrifices of personnel from these forces and provide greater financial security to their families.
