Sindh Governor Returns Second Amendment Bill 2025 to Provincial Assembly with Objections

Karachi: Sindh Governor Kamran Khan Tessori has raised objections to the *Sindh Boards of Intermediate and Secondary Education (Second Amendment) Bill 2025* and returned it to the Sindh Assembly for reconsideration under constitutional provisions.

The Governor objected specifically to Section 15, Sub-section (1) of the bill, which proposed replacing “BPS-20/21” with “BS-19/20” for certain administrative positions. Governor Tessori deemed the proposed amendment unacceptable.

He emphasized that the clause should be retained in its original, unamended form to maintain administrative standards and ensure experienced leadership within educational boards.

Invoking Article 116(2)(b) of the Constitution, Governor Tessori formally sent the bill back to the Sindh Assembly for further review.
