Karachi Power Crisis Worsens: Electricity Still Out on 100 Feeders, Residents Protest Outside K-Electric Office

Karachi:A severe **power outage** continues to disrupt life in several parts of **Karachi**, with **electricity still suspended on 100 feeders**, leaving thousands of residents suffering in **sweltering heat** and without water.
According to reports, power has been out in **Saddar and Jubilee Market** since **9 PM Thursday**, while **Azizabad Block 8** has been without electricity since **7 PM the same evening**. Residents of **Model Colony, Sheet No.1, and Muslim Housing Society Scheme 38** have been waiting for electricity since **Tuesday 7 PM**, enduring more than **72 hours of blackout**.
The situation triggered public outrage in **Gulistan-e-Jauhar Block 9**, where residents staged a protest in front of the **K-Electric office**, beating drums and chanting slogans. Protesters complained of **three days of continuous power outage**, with **no water supply** at home, making life unbearable.
K-Electric’s spokesperson acknowledged the issue, stating that electricity has been restored on **2,000 out of 2,100 feeders**, and **restoration work is still ongoing** on the remaining **100 feeders**.
Citizens, however, remain frustrated and demand **immediate and complete restoration**, as the ongoing crisis has severely impacted daily routines, especially amid **hot weather and water shortages**.
