Over 700,000 Applications Received for Punjab Government’s “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” Housing Scheme

Lahore:The Punjab government’s low-income housing initiative, “Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar” (Your Roof, Your Home), has seen significant progress, with the number of applicants surpassing 755,000. The scheme aims to provide affordable housing solutions to low-income families across the province.
In a recent meeting chaired by Punjab Minister for Housing and Urban Development, Bilal Yasin, it was decided that a comprehensive awareness campaign will be launched across government departments. The goal is to ensure that eligible low-income public sector employees are fully informed and able to benefit from the scheme.
Minister Bilal Yasin revealed that so far, loans amounting to PKR 79.34 billion have been disbursed to deserving families, while a recovery of PKR 1.37 billion has already been deposited back into the government treasury through installment payments.
The Punjab government emphasized that efforts are ongoing to expand the reach of the scheme and ensure that more deserving individuals and families can secure a home of their own.
