Thousands Humiliated Over Low-Grade Job Interviews in Quetta, Says BNP Leader Saleh Mohammad Baloch

Panjgur – Senior leader of the Balochistan National Party (BNP), Haji Saleh Mohammad Baloch, has strongly condemned the recent recruitment process conducted by the provincial agriculture department, calling it the “most corrupt and disgraceful episode” in Balochistan’s recent history.
In a scathing statement, Baloch said that thousands of poor and unemployed youth from across Balochistan — from Gwadar to Zhob — were summoned to Quetta for interviews for Grade-IV positions under the pretext of fair recruitment. However, he alleged, the real purpose was to humiliate the people.
He criticized the government’s decision to hold interviews only in Quetta instead of at divisional headquarters, which would have reduced travel and expenses for candidates. “The government deliberately imposed unnecessary hardship on thousands of underprivileged candidates,” he said.
Baloch further accused the authorities of orchestrating aerial firing through their own security guards to disperse the large crowd of applicants, turning the entire process into what he called a “public spectacle.”
“This is the most unserious and anti-people government in Balochistan’s history,” Baloch declared, pointing out that the internet has been shut down for nine days, and public transport was suspended for three days — even while interviews were being conducted.
He claimed that the entire recruitment drive was a staged drama, where job positions were auctioned off behind closed doors and merit was completely ignored. “Instead of conducting interviews transparently in local districts, the government chose to centralize the process only to deceive and exploit the poor,” he added.
Blaming the current administration, which he says came to power through “Form 47 manipulation,” Baloch alleged widespread corruption and said the recruitment process is yet another example of how the regime has wreaked havoc across the province.
He demanded a fair and transparent hiring process and called for decentralization of recruitment to ensure access and dignity for all applicants across Balochistan.
