4 Killed Including 7-Year-Old Child in Alleged Attack in Wadh, Bodies Placed on National Highway as Protest Sit-In

Demand for transparent investigation and strict action against those responsible; government officials still silent

Wadh (Daily Qudrat Quetta) — Sardar Akhtar Jan Mengal, in a statement on the social media website X, has claimed that as a result of an attack at approximately 10 PM last night in the Kili Yar Muhammad Sonaro area of Wadh, 4 people were killed while several others were injured.

According to Akhtar Mengal, the injured include a 7-year-old child, Shahzaib. He also shared pictures of the alleged victims with his post. Sardar Akhtar Mengal, expressing regret over the incident, said that wedding preparations were underway in the village, however, after the alleged incident, the atmosphere of joy turned into mourning and several families were affected.

However, no stance from government officials or the FC regarding the incident has emerged so far, while the number of deaths and injuries could not be independently verified.

In protest against the killing of four people and the injuring of several others, including a woman, in a firing incident that occurred last night in the Sonaro area of Wadh tehsil of Khuzdar, area residents, along with the bodies, began a protest on the Quetta-Karachi National Highway. According to local sources, the protesters placed the bodies on the highway and protested, which affected the flow of traffic on the national highway, and long queues of vehicles formed on both sides.

The protesters’ stance is that on the night of September 10, at approximately 10 PM, a firing incident occurred in the Sonaro, Kili Yar Muhammad Gargunari area of Wadh, in which four people were killed while several others, including women and children, were injured. The protesting people have demanded a transparent investigation into the incident and action against those responsible.

They said that the people killed were local and laboring citizens. On the other hand, no stance from government officials or forces regarding the incident has emerged so far.
