Pakistan Announces Civil Awards for Outstanding Sports Personalities

The Government of Pakistan has announced prestigious civil awards for ten renowned sports personalities in recognition of their outstanding contributions and achievements in various fields of sports. These awards honor athletes who have brought pride to the nation through their dedication, hard work, and exceptional performances on international platforms.
According to official details, former Pakistan cricket team captain **Shahid Khan Afridi**, celebrated mountaineer **Shehroze Kashif**, and the late equestrian **Malik Muhammad Atta** will be conferred with the **Hilal-e-Imtiaz**, one of the country’s highest civilian awards.
Former women’s cricket captain **Sana Mir** and discus thrower **Haider Ali** will be awarded the **Sitara-e-Imtiaz** for their exceptional achievements in their respective sports.
In addition, **Hamza Khan** (squash), **Mohsin Nawaz** (shooting), and **Rashid Malik** (tennis) will receive the **Tamgha-e-Imtiaz**.
Furthermore, **Shahzaib Rand** (karate) and **Muhammad Sajjad** (kabaddi) will be honored with the **Pride of Performance Award**.
These national honors will officially be presented on **March 23, 2026**, during the **Pakistan Day** celebrations.
