ANP Invites Lashkari Raisani to APC in Islamabad; Joint Strategy Against Mines and Minerals Act Discussed

Quetta:Senior politician and former senator **Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani** was visited by **Asghar Khan Achakzai**, Provincial President of the **Awami National Party (ANP)**, who formally invited him to attend the **All Parties Conference (APC)** scheduled for **August 17** in **Islamabad**.

The meeting took place at **Sarawan House** where ANP leaders Asghar Khan Achakzai and Sardar Rasheed Khan Nasir extended the invitation on behalf of ANP Central President **Aimal Wali Khan** and Central General Secretary **Dr. Muhammad Saleem**.

Nawabzada Lashkari Raisani accepted the invitation and expressed his full support for a **joint political movement** against the **Mines and Minerals Act** and similar legislation. He emphasized the importance of forming a **unified strategy** in collaboration with political parties, real leadership, and the public to protect the land and rights of Balochistan.

He warned that **every inch of Balochistan’s land is being allocated**, and it is the responsibility of genuine political leaders and workers to **defend the nation and its soil**. Raisani stated that both **Baloch and Pashtun elders sacrificed** not for personal or group interests, but for the honor of their nations.

During the meeting, Asghar Khan Achakzai reiterated that under the leadership of Aimal Wali Khan, all political parties from both the government and opposition—including national leaders from Balochistan and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa—have been invited to the APC. He also announced a **Peace March on August 23**.

Achakzai made it clear that ANP **completely rejects the Mines and Minerals Act** and that Raisani’s proposal to oppose it was welcomed by the ANP leadership. He added that the party will table a **resolution in the Balochistan Assembly** against the act.

He further revealed that **National Party and Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam** have also agreed to introduce a **joint resolution in the assembly**, and that **legal action** is being pursued against the legislation.
