Court Orders Judicial Remand for PTI Workers Arrested During August 5th Protest

Islamabad: The District and Sessions Court of Islamabad has ordered the judicial remand of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) workers involved in the August 5th protest, sending them to jail.
The PTI workers were presented in court after completing their two-day physical remand. The police had requested an extension of their physical remand, but the court, under Duty Magistrate Syed Haider Shah, rejected the request and ordered that the workers be sent to jail on judicial remand.
The investigating officer argued that further recoveries needed to be made from the accused and requested additional remand. However, the defense lawyer urged the court to send the workers to jail on judicial remand.
A case has been registered against the PTI workers at the Lohai Bhair police station.
