Karachi: Afaq Ahmed, Chairman of the Mohajir Qaumi Movement (MQM-H), has expressed deep sorrow and regret over the tragic loss of life in a dumper accident in Karachi.
Afaq Ahmed stated that the roads of Karachi have become a “death trap” for the city’s residents, accusing the relevant authorities and the Sindh government of remaining mere spectators. He emphasized the need for immediate action to curb such incidents.
In addition, the Muttahida Qaumi Movement-Pakistan (MQM-P) also condemned the recent dumper accident on Rashid Minhas Road. According to the MQM-P spokesperson, the deaths of a brother and sister in the accident is a heartbreaking tragedy, and such incidents have unfortunately become a daily occurrence.
The spokesperson further criticized the government’s silence on the rising number of dumper accidents, calling it unacceptable. They pointed out that the negligence of heavy vehicle drivers is putting the lives of citizens at risk.
The MQM-P has called for stricter enforcement of traffic laws, the imposition of stringent restrictions on dumpers, and a tougher licensing system to prevent such accidents in the future.
