First Woman Appointed as Manager of National Boys’ Football Team
Aruj Sohail Butt, currently serving as Safeguarding Officer at PFF, makes history

Islamabad: In a historic move, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF) has appointed a woman manager for the boys’ national football team for the first time. Aruj Sohail Butt has been appointed as the manager of the Pakistan U-17 football team.
Aruj Sohail Butt, who is also a Safeguarding Officer at PFF, holds certifications as a Safeguarding Officer from both FIFA and the AFC. This decision aligns with FIFA’s policy of providing equal opportunities for all.
It’s noteworthy that the Pakistan U-17 football team will be participating in this year’s SAFF Championship and the Asian Qualifiers.
