Tragic Accident on Rashid Minhas Road: Siblings Killed, Father Injured After Dumper Hits Motorcycle

Karachi:A devastating traffic accident occurred late last night near Lucky One Mall on Rashid Minhas Road in the Federal B Area, when an overspeeding dumper truck rammed into a motorcycle. The crash claimed the lives of two siblings — 22-year-old Mahnoor and 14-year-old Ali Raza — while their father sustained critical injuries.

According to rescue sources, the victims were immediately rushed to the hospital. However, Mahnoor and Ali Raza succumbed to their injuries on the way. Their father remains under treatment in serious condition.

Following the tragic incident, tensions escalated in the area. Enraged residents set fire to **seven dumper trucks** and physically assaulted the dumper driver responsible for the collision, who was later handed over to the police.

SSP Central confirmed that the dumper driver has been taken into custody, along with over ten individuals involved in the arson and violence. Rashid Minhas Road has been closed to all types of traffic due to the unrest.

**Dumper Drivers’ Protest:**
In response to the torching of their vehicles, the Dumper Drivers Association launched a protest by blocking traffic at **Sohrab Goth on the Super Highway**, causing severe disruptions. The association also announced plans to **block the National Highway** if their concerns are not addressed.

Association president Haji Liaqat Mehsud claimed the accident was actually caused by a tanker, not a dumper, and accused the public of wrongly setting their vehicles on fire. He held the **Sindh government responsible** for the damage caused.

**Governor Sindh Reacts:**
Governor Kamran Tessori expressed deep sorrow over the tragic deaths and prayed for the speedy recovery of the injured father. He demanded strict action against the responsible driver and urged the public not to take the law into their own hands. He also called on the Sindh government to rein in the so-called **“dumper mafia”** threatening public safety.

This incident once again highlights the urgent need for **strict enforcement of traffic regulations**, especially concerning heavy vehicles operating in city limits.
