PIA’s Troubles Continue: Paris to Lahore Flight Delayed Over 20 Hours, Passengers Stranded

Karachi – Despite years of international bans and criticism, Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) continues to face operational setbacks. Flight PK-734 from Paris to Lahore was delayed for more than 20 hours, leaving passengers stranded and frustrated.
According to reports, the flight was delayed at the last moment as passengers were informed just before departure. During taxiing, a technical fault was detected, forcing the aircraft to return and grounding the flight.
Passengers stated they were kept inside the aircraft for nearly three hours, during which food was served onboard. Due to the persistent technical issue, travelers were finally moved to the airport lounge four hours later and then disembarked from the plane.
Out of nearly 300 passengers, around 14—mostly those coming from the UK and the US—were separated and left waiting at the airport. Approximately 280 passengers were moved to hotels, while others remained stranded at the terminal floor without proper assistance.
Among those affected were women and children. One passenger shared that no one from the PIA staff checked on them after they were removed from the plane. It was the Air France staff who stepped in to provide food and water to those sitting on the floor.
Passengers also complained that PIA did not offer any update regarding the rescheduling of the flight or assistance throughout the ordeal.
