Fake Tickets for Pakistan-India Match Sold for Thousands of Dirhams Ahead of Asia Cup

Karachi: As excitement builds for the upcoming Asia Cup, fake tickets for the high-profile Pakistan-India match, scheduled for September 14, are being sold for as much as 11,000 dirhams.
Although official ticket sales for the event, scheduled to take place next month in the UAE, have not yet been announced, the illegal resale of counterfeit tickets has already surged in the region.
According to a Gulf newspaper, several suspicious websites have appeared through Google searches. One site was found selling VIP passes for 11,000 dirhams, while regular tickets were being sold for over 1,500 dirhams.
With fans eagerly awaiting tickets for the much-anticipated match, authorities have issued a warning about these fraudulent sites. They urged the public to exercise caution and only purchase tickets through official channels to avoid falling victim to scams.
Citizens were advised to steer clear of dubious links to ensure they do not get cheated out of their money.
