August 5 a Day of Solidarity with Kashmiris: Balochistan Minister Condemns Indian Actions

QUETTA:On the occasion of **August 5 – Youm-e-Istehsal (Day of Exploitation)**, Balochistan’s Provincial Minister for Public Health Engineering, **Sardar Abdul Rehman Khetran**, has expressed strong solidarity with the people of **Indian-occupied Jammu and Kashmir**, condemning India’s unilateral and unconstitutional actions.
In a statement issued on Monday, the minister said that August 5 marks a black day when, in 2019, the Indian government revoked the special constitutional status of Jammu and Kashmir, in blatant violation of **United Nations resolutions** and **international law**.
> “This was not only a breach of international agreements but also a direct attack on the basic human rights of the Kashmiri people,” Khetran said.
He paid tribute to the resilience of the Kashmiri people, who he said have endured **decades of Indian state terrorism, lockdowns, mass arrests, and grave human rights abuses**, yet continue their struggle with unwavering courage and determination.
The minister reiterated that **Pakistan will continue to extend political, diplomatic, and moral support** to the people of Kashmir at all international forums until the dispute is resolved according to the UN resolutions and the aspirations of the Kashmiri people.
> “The international community must recognize the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination and hold India accountable for its continued oppression and human rights violations,” he urged.
Sardar Khetran called on world powers to play an effective role in putting an end to Indian atrocities and ensuring justice for the Kashmiri people.
