Sheikh Waqas Akram Denies Reports of Imran Khan’s Children Being Barred from Returning to Pakistan
Lahore:Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Information Secretary, Sheikh Waqas Akram, has refuted media reports suggesting that former PTI Chairman Imran Khan has prevented his children from returning to Pakistan. In a statement, Akram clarified that Imran Khan has not stopped his children from coming back to the country. He urged journalists, particularly those reporting from Adiala Jail, to only share accurate information as per Khan’s statements, without altering or manipulating the context to suit their own narrative.
Akram wrote on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter) that “Imran Khan’s children will definitely come to Pakistan, and there should be no doubt about it.” He added that the only thing pending is the confirmation of the date of their arrival. He also emphasized that when they had previously decided to visit Pakistan, they had informed their father, rather than asking for his permission.
The PTI leader further advised the media to avoid spreading baseless propaganda, as it serves no useful purpose.
