Rawalpindi: Seven security personnel were martyred in a cowardly attack by the outlawed Baloch Liberation Army (BLA) in Balochistan. The attack occurred on May 6 in the Mach area of Kachi district, where BLA terrorists, allegedly operating under Indian influence, targeted a security forces vehicle with an improvised explosive device (IED).
According to a statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the deadly attack led to the martyrdom of seven Pakistani soldiers, who laid down their lives for the defense of the country. The martyrs have been identified as Subedar Umar Farooq, Naik Asif Khan, Naik Mashkoor, Ali Sepahi Tariq Nawaz, Sepahi Wajid Ahmad Faiz, Sepahi Muhammad Asim, and Sepahi Muhammad Kashif Khan.
Following the attack, security forces launched clearance and search operations in the area to apprehend the terrorists involved. ISPR further stated that the perpetrators of this heinous and cowardly attack will be brought to justice.
The military spokesperson emphasized that Pakistan’s armed forces, law enforcement agencies, and the entire nation remain resolute in their commitment to thwart any attempt to destabilize Balochistan’s peace, development, and stability.
ISPR also reiterated that the sacrifices of the brave soldiers would only strengthen the nation’s resolve. “The malicious intentions of India and its agents will fail in the face of the courage and unity of Pakistani security forces, state institutions, and the people,” the statement concluded.
