Mizan Bank Introduces Pakistan’s First eSIM for VIP Customers – A Convenient Way to Stay Connected Globally

Karachi: Mizan Bank has made history in Pakistan by launching the country’s first-ever eSIM, a cutting-edge digital service designed exclusively for its VIP customers.
Mizan Bank has become the first Pakistani bank to integrate Visa’s latest global eSIM technology into its VIP-level debit cards, offering international travelers seamless and secure digital connectivity. The eSIM will eliminate the need for users to purchase a separate SIM card or switch mobile networks when traveling abroad or requiring international data packages.
Through this innovative digital eSIM, customers can activate international data services directly via their mobile devices, without the hassle of swapping physical SIM cards. Thanks to Visa’s secure and advanced technology, and compatibility with various modern mobile devices, the service is expected to provide a highly effective and reliable solution.
As part of this exclusive offer, Mizan Bank VIP customers will receive 3GB of high-speed internet data for free in over 150 countries worldwide for a period of 21 days. Additionally, if they exceed this data limit, they can purchase more data at a 25% discount.
Sayed Iftikhar-ul-Haq, Head of Consumer Finance at Mizan Bank, shared his excitement about this innovation, stating, “We are thrilled to introduce this groundbreaking service to our esteemed customers, enabling them to stay connected during international travels without the hassle of purchasing local SIM cards or relying on insecure Wi-Fi connections.”
He further emphasized, “Mizan Bank is the first in Pakistan to integrate this global data roaming digital service directly into its premium debit cards.”
Omar Khan, Country Manager for Visa in Pakistan and Afghanistan, also commented on the partnership, saying, “As global travel continues to rise, secure and easy digital connectivity has become more crucial than ever. By integrating Visa’s global eSIM into Mizan Bank’s VIP debit cards, we are offering a service that provides complete freedom for users to stay connected without the need for physical SIM cards and while avoiding the risks of using insecure networks.”
Khan also highlighted that since 2018, global mobile data usage has increased more than sevenfold, making such innovative services essential to ensure consumers stay aligned with the evolving digital landscape.
