Lahore: Renowned Pakistani playwright, television host, and comedian Anwar Maqsood has stated that he is not a member of any political party, but only with Pakistan.
During a press conference in Lahore, Anwar Maqsood expressed, “When the country is in a bad state, I also feel bad. I have been writing about the country’s conditions and people for the past 68 years.”

He also revealed that his play was not allowed to be staged at Alhamra due to the inclusion of old songs instead of dance performances. After two shows in Islamabad, a raid was conducted.
The play’s director, Dawar Mehmood, stated that “House Arrest” will be presented at an auditorium on Ferozepur Road until August 3.
On the occasion, the play’s producer, Wajiha, mentioned that the play had received much love in Karachi and Islamabad.
