PTI Leaders Confirm Arrival of Imran Khan’s Sons in Pakistan

Lahore: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leaders have confirmed that Imran Khan’s sons, Salman and Qasim, are arriving in Pakistan.
According to private TV channel Express News, the confirmation came from Imran Khan’s sister, Aleema Khan, party leaders Salman Akram Raja, and Barrister Ali Zafar. They stated that the two sons are seeking permission from the Islamabad High Court to meet their father. The legal team has filed a petition to facilitate the meeting. However, they refrained from sharing further details about the sons’ arrival and their stay in Pakistan.
Aleema Khan emphasized that it is the constitutional right of the two sons to meet their father, and they hope to avoid any legal obstacles during this process. The petition for the meeting can be filed with the High Court at any moment.
Barrister Ali Zafar, along with Aleema Khan and others, spoke to the media outside Adiala Jail. Salman Akram Raja mentioned that they had arrived at Adiala Jail at 10 AM but had not been allowed to enter yet. He criticized the closure of the trial, stating that the Islamabad High Court had ordered that family members and lawyers be allowed to attend hearings. He pointed out that the trial was happening behind closed doors, with lawyers left outside.
He also expressed concern over obstacles being created for Imran Khan’s meetings with his family, adding that the media had also been blocked from reporting. He claimed that the constitutional rights were being violated, highlighting that Shah Mehmood Qureshi, despite facing 8-9 cases, was still leading the party.
Barrister Ali Zafar further stressed that the trial, currently underway with witnesses and cross-examinations, is illegal and undemocratic without media, family, and legal representatives present.
Aleema Khan, speaking in support of her brother, called the Tosha Khana case a baseless one. She stated that they were unaware of the trial’s inner workings, but they would continue to stand by Imran Khan until his release. “They cannot intimidate us,” she concluded.
