Musa Maneka, Son of Khawar Maneka, Arrested for Shooting Employee Over Work Dispute

Lahore: Maryam Riaz Watoo, the sister of Bushra Bibi, has expressed confusion over the ongoing media reports stating that Musa Maneka is the son of Bushra Bibi. Speaking to a private TV channel, she clarified that Musa is the son of Khawar Maneka, Bushra’s former husband, and has been living with his father for the past seven years.
Referring to the recent incident in which Musa shot and severely injured his employee, Ali Bahadur, over a work dispute, Maryam added that after the incident, Bushra Bibi has not had any family meetings, nor has she met with her lawyers. She said, “They are kept in isolation just like Imran Khan, which is a form of torture. Whenever there is a meeting, they are informed about it.”
Maryam also expressed confusion about the widespread misconception, stating, “I don’t understand why everyone keeps calling him Bushra’s son. He is Khawar Maneka’s son, and he has been living with his father for seven years.”
The incident, which took place at the Maneka residence, saw Musa open fire on his employee, Ali Bahadur, after the latter failed to complete his work on time. After the shooting, Musa, armed with modern weaponry, allegedly prevented others from helping the injured employee. The police arrived at the scene and arrested Musa Maneka.
A case has been registered against him at Police Station Saddar under section 324 (attempted murder) of the Pakistan Penal Code on the complaint of the injured employee’s father. The police are investigating the matter further.
Meanwhile, Bushra Bibi remains unaware of the incident, as Maryam mentioned that she has no access to TV or media, making it difficult for her to receive news updates.
