KP Assembly to Swear in Newly Elected Members in a Turbulent Session

Peshawar:The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Assembly will hold a high-stakes and heated session shortly, with members arriving for participation. According to private TV channel *Dunya News*, the session will witness the swearing-in of 21 women and 4 members from minority-specific seats.
Among those taking the oath are seven women each from Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam (JUI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), four women from the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), two from Awami National Party (ANP), and one from Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI). Additionally, two elected members representing minority seats from JUI, Askar Pervez and Gorpal Singh, will also take the oath.
Suresh Kumar from PML-N and Bahari Lala from PPP, who were elected from the minority quota, are also set to take the oath. Due to security and protocol concerns, guest attendance has been restricted during the assembly session.
