Former Senator Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani Demands Justice for Balochistan’s Missing Persons’ Families

Quetta:Senior politician and former senator, Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani, has strongly condemned the detention of protesters advocating for constitutional and historical justice. He stated that the relatives of those detained for protesting are now holding a demonstration in front of the Islamabad Press Club. Raisani called on the state to fulfill its responsibilities and provide justice to the people of Balochistan and FATA.

In a statement, Nawabzada Haji Mir Lashkari Khan Raisani expressed his concerns about the failure of national institutions to perform their constitutional and legal duties. He highlighted the plight of the people of Balochistan, who, according to him, are struggling to secure their constitutional rights and justice while facing continuous hardship.

He pointed out that women and children, who have been protesting for the recovery of their missing relatives, have been detained instead of receiving justice. These relatives, particularly the women and veiled family members, are now protesting in front of the Islamabad Press Club, seeking justice.

Raisani stated that the protest in front of the Islamabad Press Club is proof of the government’s failure to deliver justice and its attempts to silence the voices of those demanding their rights. He emphasized that the government has not only failed to address the issue of missing persons but has also attempted to suppress these peaceful protests.

He further demanded that the state fulfill its duties and ensure justice for the families of missing persons in Balochistan and FATA, urging the government to address the long-standing grievances of these communities.
