Key Suspects Killed in Masoor Khan Abduction and Murder Case; Crackdown Continues for Remaining Accused

Quetta: The key suspects involved in the abduction and murder of Masoor Khan have been killed in an operation conducted by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD), while efforts to apprehend the remaining culprits are ongoing.
In a joint press conference, DIG CTD Aitzaz Goraya and the spokesperson for the Balochistan government confirmed that several suspects involved in the kidnapping have either been neutralized or taken into custody.
According to DIG Goraya, the main suspect, identified as Younus, was killed in the operation. Another suspect, Tayyab Shah, who is linked to Bajaur, remains at large, and raids are being conducted to capture him.
One accused, Hisham, has been arrested and is currently on remand. Authorities also recovered the vehicle used in the abduction, which was reportedly brought from Afghanistan.
Further, suspects Muhammad Yousaf and Bukhari have also been killed during operations, while another accused, Rehan, is still on the run.
DIG Goraya described Masoor Khan’s killing as a tragedy and affirmed the government’s commitment to providing justice to the victim’s family.
He added that Afghan nationals have been found involved in acts of terrorism. In a separate action, an Afghan national named Ashraf was arrested from Bhosa Mandi in Sariab.
