Lahore: In a surprising turn of events, Aalia Hamza, a prominent leader of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI), leaked the messages of Sheikh Waqas Akram after being overlooked during the PTI rally in Lahore. Adding to the drama, when Sheikh Waqas Akram expressed his frustration, Aalia Hamza did not hesitate to leak those messages as well.
In a viral audio clip circulating on social media, PTI leader Sheikh Waqas Akram can be heard reprimanding Aalia Hamza for releasing his private messages. He accused her of feeding the media with messages taken out of context, claiming that her actions were inciting unnecessary controversy. “You are the kind of woman who takes private conversations and shares them with the media without explaining the context. Sheikh Waqas Akram further added that Aalia’s actions were an attempt to stir public sentiment and gain media attention. “You have been feeding the media, trying to gain coverage by leaking my messages. It’s a manipulation to gain sympathy and publicity,” he said.
In another leaked audio, senior anchorperson Mansoor Ali Khan revealed that Sheikh Waqas Akram had informed Aalia Hamza that the gathering, originally intended for parliamentary party members, was being organized to avoid any political misrepresentation. According to the audio, Aalia was explicitly told not to attend the event as it was meant only for parliamentarians.
