Nabeel Gabol Walks Out of National Assembly Committee Meeting Over CDA Chairman and Minister Talal Chaudhry’s Attitude

ISLAMABAD:A heated exchange during a session of the National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior led to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Nabeel Gabol staging a walkout in protest against the behavior of Minister of State Talal Chaudhry and Capital Development Authority (CDA) Chairman.
According to *Geo News*, the meeting, chaired by Raja Khurram Nawaz, saw the introduction of the CDA Amendment Bill by PPP’s Shazia Marri. Tensions flared when Marri accused the CDA official of obstructing legislative progress and threatened to move a privilege motion against him.
Talal Chaudhry responded, stating he would face any such motion directly, which prompted Shazia Marri to accuse him of issuing threats. “You are threatening us,” she said, to which Chaudhry retorted, “You’re the one making threats.”
Reacting strongly, Nabeel Gabol criticized both the minister and the CDA chairman, claiming their tone towards PPP members was disrespectful. “Just because you got a two-thirds majority in charity doesn’t mean you can act arrogantly,” Gabol said. “We brought your government down once before, and we can do it again.”
Following his remarks, Gabol announced a boycott of the session in protest over what he described as an unacceptable tone and attitude from the minister and CDA chairman.
