Thailand Eases Visa Process for Pakistani Tourists with New E-Visa System

Islamabad: Good news for Pakistani travelers eager to explore Thailand’s stunning beaches, rich culture, and historic sites — the Thai government has made the visa process easier and more accessible through a new e-visa system.
Effective from January 1, 2025, Pakistani and Afghan nationals, along with other foreign residents in these countries, can now apply for Thai visas entirely online, eliminating the need to visit the Thai embassy.
Applicants must submit their visa applications via the official Thai e-visa website: www.thaievisa.go.th. Once approved, a confirmation email will be sent to the applicant, which must be printed and presented at both the airport and immigration checkpoints in Thailand.
To apply for a Thai visit visa, applicants must meet the following requirements:
A bank statement for the last six months with a minimum balance of PKR 350,000 per person.
Visa fee with a confirmed air ticket: PKR 19,500.
Visa fee without a confirmed air ticket: PKR 27,900.
These new visa regulations aim to enhance convenience and transparency for tourists while making it clear that entry without a valid visa is not permitted.
