Viral Video Shows Camel Biting Man in Karachi Ahead of Eid ul-Adha Festivities

Karachi:As Eid ul-Adha approaches, streets and neighborhoods across Pakistan are once again filled with the lively presence of sacrificial animals. While these animals are often well cared for, they can sometimes become aggressive or difficult to manage in unfamiliar surroundings — a situation that played out dramatically in a viral video from Karachi.

The video, which has garnered widespread attention on social media, shows a **camel biting a man’s hand** in the Delhi Colony area of Karachi. The man, seen waving his hand near the camel’s mouth, suddenly finds himself in trouble as the animal clamps down tightly. The footage shows the man struggling to free himself, eventually managing to escape with difficulty.

The clip has sparked a flurry of reactions online. One user commented, *“He got lucky — the camel could’ve broken his bones. That bite looked painful.”* Another wrote, *“It’s normal for animals to be aggressive when brought to a new environment. The best approach is to leave them alone and avoid crowding them. They usually settle down in two to three days.”*

A more humorous take came from user Malik Bilal Awan, who joked, *“The guy wanted to check the camel’s teeth, and the camel politely obliged.”* Another comment read, *“Uncle should have avoided showing off — this is what happens!”*

Chaudhry Imran criticized the man for provoking the animal, saying, *“Before trying such stunts, at least feed the animal. Hunger makes them more aggressive.”*

The incident is a reminder to handle sacrificial animals with care and respect, especially in the days leading up to Eid when stress levels for both animals and their owners can be high.
