Session Judge Raja Imtiaz Arrested in Contempt of Court Case

Islamabad: The Supreme Court of Azad Jammu and Kashmir (AJK) has delivered its verdict in a contempt of court case, with the decision announced by a full bench headed by Chief Justice Raja Saeed Akram Khan.
The court ordered the arrest of Session Judge Raja Imtiaz from Haveli, and following the ruling, the police took him into custody.
In the contempt case, the session judge was sentenced to three days in prison. The court remarked that Judge Imtiaz had violated high court orders by granting bail to a drug offender, which was against the judicial directives. It was also stated that Judge Imtiaz had lied in court, thus undermining the dignity of the judiciary.
The court further noted that Session Judge Raja Imtiaz had challenged the authority of the Supreme Court.
