Bilawal Bhutto Urges Taliban to Uphold Doha Agreement, Stresses Pakistan’s Resolve Against Terrorism

Islamabad:Chairman of Pakistan People’s Party (PPP), Bilawal Bhutto Zardari, has called on the Afghan interim government to honor the commitments made in the Doha Agreement, warning that the Taliban’s failure to do so is contributing to regional instability.

While addressing a ceremony in Islamabad, Bilawal highlighted the global challenge of terrorism, noting that Pakistan has faced significant human and financial losses in the fight against it. He reiterated that Pakistan is actively engaged in counter-terrorism efforts, with military operations such as *Zarb-e-Azb* and *Radd-ul-Fasaad* playing a pivotal role in weakening terrorist groups.

Bilawal stressed that Pakistan had never invited terrorism but stood firm and fought back when it arrived. He emphasized that surrendering is not part of Pakistan’s vocabulary. He further called on the world to respect Pakistan’s sacrifices and commitment in this battle.

The PPP leader also extended a hand to India, urging the neighboring country to learn from Pakistan’s counter-terrorism efforts and work together on shared concerns. He proposed dialogue on critical issues such as Kashmir, water, and terrorism.

Bilawal’s comments underscore the ongoing complexities in South Asia, particularly concerning Afghanistan’s political future and its impact on regional security.
