“Maulana Fazlur Rehman Vows to Halt Both Past and Present Governments”

Battagram: Maulana Fazlur Rehman, the leader of Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam Fazl (JUI-F), has stated that he will not allow both the former and current governments to function. Speaking at a conference on Islamic teachings in Battagram, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Maulana Fazlur Rehman criticized the government’s decision to merge FATA with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, calling it a “wrong and one-sided” move. He claimed that the tribal areas are unhappy with this decision and that the government is now regretting it.
He further condemned the 2018 and 2024 elections as being fraudulent and declared that his party does not accept the results of these “rigged” elections. The JUI-F leader emphasized that they will not allow the current or past governments to operate, given their dubious legitimacy.
In his speech, Maulana Fazlur Rehman also accused the ruling parties of lacking political foresight, stating that while they govern in line with U.S. interests, they cannot claim to be proponents of democracy.
