NDMA Issues Alert for Heavy Rainfall and Possible Flooding in Various Regions

Islamabad:The National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) has issued a warning for heavy rainfall across several parts of the country over the next 48 hours, along with the potential threat of flooding.

According to the NDMA, the forecast predicts widespread rainfall in different cities, which may lead to flash floods in several areas. The authority has issued an alert in anticipation of the adverse weather conditions.

The NDMA’s advisory highlights the likelihood of flooding in several cities of Punjab due to the expected rains. Severe rainfall is also anticipated in various cities of Sindh, while stormy rains are expected in many parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Additionally, authorities have warned of the risk of glacial melt leading to flooding in certain areas of Gilgit-Baltistan, while urban flooding is likely to occur in some regions of Azad Kashmir due to intense rainfall.

The NDMA has urged the public to remain cautious and stay informed about the weather updates.
