KP CM House Expenses Surge by Multiple Times: Report

Peshawar: A significant increase in the expenses of the Chief Minister’s House in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has been revealed for the current fiscal year.
According to documents obtained by Geo News, the expenses of the Chief Minister’s House have surged by 10 times, with an additional 680 million rupees spent from the budgets allocated for secret funds, discretionary funds, gifts, and entertainment.
The Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has spent 500 million rupees instead of the allocated 50 million rupees for discretionary funds this fiscal year. The documents indicate that the CM has overspent by 450 million rupees from the treasury under the discretionary fund category.
In a span of one year, 110 million rupees were spent on gifts and entertainment, while the budget allocated for these purposes was only 35 million rupees. According to the documents, over 85 million rupees were spent on gifts and entertainment from the designated funds for the current fiscal year.
Additionally, while 50 million rupees were allocated for secret fund charges, a total of 200 million rupees were spent.
