KP Government Announces Public Holiday on 1st Muharram for New Islamic Year

Peshawar: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) government has declared a public holiday on 1st Muharram to mark the beginning of the new Islamic year.
According to a statement issued by the provincial government, the holiday will be observed on 1st Muharram 1447 AH, in accordance with the moon sighting announcement made by the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee.
