Angry Mob Attacks Murder Suspect in Police Custody at Rawalpindi Judicial Complex

Rawalpindi: A violent mob attacked a murder suspect in police custody at the Rawalpindi Judicial Complex, attempting to kill him while he was being transferred for a court hearing.
According to reports, the police took the suspect, Hamad, to Court No. 27 for protection and locked the courtroom door to prevent any disturbance. However, around 15-20 attackers managed to bypass the security systems of the Judicial Complex. The assailants kicked and punched the courtroom door, attempting to break it open.
As a result of the attack, court proceedings were suspended, and the judge retreated to their chamber. Lawyers and clients inside the courtroom were trapped. The situation escalated as the police and the attackers clashed outside the courtroom. Following the altercation, all the attackers managed to escape by breaking through a police checkpoint at the Judicial Complex.
Sub-Inspector Qamar Sadiq filed a complaint, and the Civil Lines Police Station registered a case against the suspects, including Raja Manan, Raja Matloob, Ghufran, and Raja Usman.
The police were at the Judicial Complex to secure a physical remand of Hamad, who had been arrested in connection with the murder case of Sub-Inspector Qamar Sadiq in the Sadar Beroni area. The suspects had intended to kill Hamad within the Judicial Complex.
A case has been registered against the attackers for assaulting the court, causing damage, and issuing threats of murder.
