PTA Offers Free 2GB Internet and 200 Minutes to Celebrate 200 Million Mobile Users

Islamabad: The Pakistan Telecommunication Authority (PTA) has announced a special offer of free internet and call minutes for all mobile users to celebrate surpassing the milestone of 200 million mobile subscribers.
According to the official announcement, on June 20, 2025, all mobile users in Pakistan will receive 2GB of free internet data and 200 on-net call minutes, valid for 24 hours. To activate this limited-time offer, users simply need to dial #2200* from any mobile network.
The PTA stated that this initiative, in collaboration with all mobile operators, is a token of appreciation for the public’s continued support. The latest statistics reveal that Pakistan has reached 197.7 million mobile subscribers, covering nearly 80% of the country’s population. Additionally, there are over 150 million broadband users and 3.75 million fixed-line phone users across the nation.
To commemorate this achievement, a special ceremony will be held at the PTA headquarters in Islamabad. The event will be attended by key figures from the telecom sector, mobile network operators, and device manufacturers. Discussions will focus on the future of digital services and connectivity in Pakistan.
As part of the celebrations, mobile networks will also offer free voice and data bundles. Furthermore, a lucky draw will be held during the event, with 10 to 15 mid-range smartphones up for grabs.
