Karachi : Gold prices in Pakistan witnessed another sharp decline on Wednesday, reflecting the ongoing downward trend in the international market. According to the All Pakistan Gems and Jewellers Sarafa Association, the price of gold per tola fell by Rs. 2,245, bringing the new rate to Rs. 359,055 per tola. These rates will remain in effect until the next official price update later today.
Similarly, the price of 10 grams of gold dropped by Rs. 1,925, settling at Rs. 307,831.
This marks a continuation of Tuesday’s decline, when gold prices had already decreased by Rs. 1,000 per tola to reach Rs. 361,300.
In the global market, gold prices also saw a dip on Tuesday. The international rate stood at $3,378 per ounce, including a $20 premium — a $20 decrease from the previous day.
In contrast, silver prices saw a slight increase. The price of silver rose by Rs. 22 per tola, reaching Rs. 3,878.
Jewellers and market analysts suggest that this might be one of the best buying opportunities in recent months, as such low prices may not last long.
